Bicycle bells are the obligatory element of equipment of every bicycle. Of course, it can be any other non-strident warning signal, but the bell is the most frequently chosen solution. The purpose of a bicycle bell is similar to a car horn. It is to warn others that a bicycle is approaching.

Types of bicycle bells

A bicycle bell is usually a device consisting of a metal bowl, which is hit by a plastic knocker fixed on a spring. However, there are devices that are more technically complex - in these, the entire mechanism is activated by a special, finger-operated lever, whose task is to produce the appropriate sound.

The truth is that bicycle bells are limited only by the imagination of their makers.
